# Rename this server in Dagu Console

`PUT /license/server-name`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost/api/v1`
- URL: `http://localhost/api/v1/license/server-name`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP basic
  - none

Sets the name Dagu Console and Dagu show for this server, in place of the name it reports. An empty name shows the reported name again. Admin only.

License status after the rename

- LicenseStatusResponse: Public status of the current Dagu license
  - `valid` boolean, required: Whether the loaded license token has not expired
  - `plan` string, required: License plan name
  - `expiry` string, required: License expiration timestamp, or empty for a perpetual or absent license
  - `features` string[], required: Feature claims included in the license
  - `gracePeriod` boolean, required: Whether the license is expired but still inside its grace period
  - `graceEndsAt` string, required: Grace-period end timestamp, or empty when the license has no expiration
  - `community` boolean, required: Whether no license claims are loaded
  - `source` string, required: Public license source category
  - `warningCode` string, required: Warning code included in the license token
  - `error` string, required: User-facing explanation when a configured license is unusable
  - `serverName` string: Name Dagu Console shows for this server: the one a person gave it, else reportedName
  - `reportedName` string: Name this server reports to Dagu Console: license.server_name, else the hostname
  - `licenseId` string: Identifier of the loaded license
  - `workspace` string: Dagu Console workspace that owns the license
  - `connectedVia` 'console' | 'key' | 'env' | 'config' | 'file': How the license reached this server
  - `serverId` string: Identifier of this server in Dagu Console, for licenses that check in
  - `lastCheckIn` string: Last time Dagu Console accepted this server's check-in
  - `consoleUrl` string: Dagu Console page for this server

## Other responses

- `400`: The name is too long, the license does not check in with Dagu Console, or Dagu Console refused the name
- `403`: Insufficient permissions
- `502`: Dagu Console could not be reached
- `default`: Unexpected error
