# Connect this server to Dagu Console

`POST /license/connect`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost/api/v1`
- URL: `http://localhost/api/v1/license/connect`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP basic
  - none

Starts a request for a license from Dagu Console, or returns the pending one. Open connectUrl to approve it; the license is installed once a workspace owner approves. A report level, when given, chooses what this server reports to Dagu Console, starting once the license is installed, unless cloud.report in the configuration sets it. Admin only.

  - `report` 'off' | 'health' | 'runs' | 'errors': How much this server reports to Dagu Console: off sends nothing but one report saying so after health, runs, or errors, health sends its version and which services run, runs also sends the status of finished DAG runs and the runs in progress, and errors also sends the error messages of failed runs

- LicenseConnectStatus: Request to connect this server to Dagu Console
  - `state` 'idle' | 'pending' | 'granted' | 'failed' | 'expired', required: Progress of the request
  - `connectUrl` string: Dagu Console page that approves the request. Its report query parameter names what this server reports once connected, and is absent when it reports nothing
  - `code` string: Short code Dagu Console shows so the approver can confirm the request
  - `expiresAt` string: When the request expires unless approved
  - `error` string: Why the request failed

## Other responses

- `400`: Unknown report level
- `403`: Insufficient permissions
- `409`: The license is set outside Dagu or the server already has a license
- `default`: Unexpected error
