# Send a test incident

`POST /incident-providers/{providerId}/test`

Sends a test trigger and resolve event to one incident provider. Developer, manager, or admin only.

## Path parameters

- `providerId` string, required

## Query parameters

- `remoteNode` string

## Response `200`

Test incident delivery attempted

- TestIncidentProviderResponse — Result of test incident delivery
  - `result` TestIncidentProviderResult, required — Delivery result for one incident provider
    - `providerId` string, required
    - `providerName` string, required
    - `providerType` 'pagerduty' | 'solarwinds_incident_response', required — Incident provider type
    - `delivered` boolean, required
    - `error` string

## Other responses

- `403` — Forbidden - requires an active Dagu license or trial
- `404` — Incident provider not found
- `default` — Unexpected error
