# Add a user directly as a member, or invite an email to join the organization

`POST /organizations/{org}/member/`

  - `assignments` GenericReference[]: Objects to assign on acceptance (for partial_editor invitations)
    - `class` string
    - `id` string
  - `comment` string: Invitation message
  - `email` string: Email to invite (if user not registered)
  - `role` 'admin' | 'editor' | 'partial_editor': The role to assign
  - `user` string: User ID to invite

## Response `201`

Member added or invitation sent

- `403`: Not Authorized
