# Retrieves information about a user for the specified username and organization short name (accessible to same-organization users or Secretariat)

`GET /registry/org/{shortname}/user/{username}`

<h2>Access Control</h2>  <p>Authenticated users can access this endpoint only for users in their own organization. Secretariat users can access any user.</p>  <h2>Expected Behavior</h2>  <p><b>Regular, CNA & Admin Users:</b> Retrieves information about a registry user in the same organization</p>  <p><b>Secretariat:</b> Retrieves any registry user's information</p>
