# List templates

`GET /templates`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cut.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.cut.pro/api/v1/templates`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Returns a paginated list of video editing templates. Use `filter=mine` (default) to list your own templates, or `filter=public` for CutPro's built-in public templates.

Pass a template's `id` to `POST /clips/{videoId}/submissions/{submissionId}/apply_template` to apply it in bulk to your generated clips.

## Query parameters

- `page` number: Page number (default: 1)
- `limit` number: Items per page (default: 20, max: 100)
- `filter` 'mine' | 'public'
- `sort` 'recent' | 'most_recent' | 'name'

    - `id` string, required: Unique template ID — use this when calling `apply_template`
    - `name` string, required: Template name
    - `description` string, nullable, required: Short description of what the template does
    - `category` string, nullable, required: Template category, e.g. `gaming`, `podcast`, `education`
    - `aspect_ratio` string, nullable, required: Target aspect ratio — e.g. `9:16`, `1:1`, `16:9`
    - `auto_add_captions` boolean, required: `true` if this template automatically adds AI captions
    - `is_public` boolean, required: `true` if this is a public CutPro template
    - `thumbnail_url` string, nullable, required: Signed URL for the template thumbnail — time-limited, fetch fresh when needed
    - `created_at` string, required: ISO 8601 timestamp of when the template was created
  - `pagination` object, required
    - `current_page` number, required: Current page number (1-based)
    - `total_pages` number, required: Total number of pages
    - `total_count` number, required: Total number of items across all pages
    - `has_next_page` boolean, required
    - `has_previous_page` boolean, required
    - `limit` number, required: Items per page used for this response
