# Delete an SMS

`DELETE /v1/design_studio/sms/{id}`

Delete an SMS. You can't delete an SMS that's linked to a workflow, like a transactional message, a one-time send, or an automation action.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

SMS deleted

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication failed due to a missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
- `409`: The SMS is linked to a workflow, so Customer.io doesn't delete it.
