# Delete an email version

`DELETE /v1/design_studio/emails/{id}/versions/{version_id}`

Deletes a version. You can't delete a version that Design Studio created automatically during a publish.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required
- `version_id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Version deleted

## Other responses

- `401` — Unauthorized - missing or invalid API key
- `404` — Possible reasons include the email node or version doesn't exist or the version belongs to a different node.
- `409` — The version was created automatically during a publish and can't be deleted.
