# Save a view of a grid

`POST /api/v1/rest/views`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.custodo.ai`
- URL: `https://api.custodo.ai/api/v1/rest/views`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Keep a reading of a grid under a name, in the person’s own «Viste» menu of that page — what «Viste → Salva vista» does. The query takes the SAME keys and grammar as the query of custodo_view_link (q, filter, sort, group, type, status, direction, from, to, scope, assignee, role, kind, category, date, view): pass exactly the reading the person asked to keep, usually the one you just opened. A view with the same name on that grid is refused unless replace_existing is true, which replaces its reading. It changes no records. At most 50 views per grid, names up to 60 characters. Grids with views: documents, anagrafiche, attivita, checklist, condivisione, condivisione/destinatari, conservazione, conservazione/versamenti, conservazione/esibizioni, conservazione/scarti, crm, crm/lead, crm/attivita, email, firme, firme/da-firmare, firme/firmate-da-me, raccolta, raccolta/richieste, spese, spese/note, workflow, workflow/flows, agenti.

## Headers

  - `page` string: One of the module’s tabs, when the grid is not its first page (e.g. spese `note`).
  - `name` string, required: The view’s name.
  - `query` object: The reading to keep: only the constraints asked for.
    - `q` string

## Response `200`

Done. `data` is the tool’s own answer.

- RestResult
  - `ok` true, required
  - `data` unknown, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The arguments did not validate: `error.message` names the field, what it expects and what arrived.
- `401`: No API key, or one that is malformed, unknown, revoked or expired.
- `403`: The call never ran: the module is off for this organisation, the credential lacks the permission or the module, the tier does not cover it, or the tool is destructive and the key was not minted for that.
- `409`: The record is in a state that does not allow it — under legal hold, already sent, already closed. `error.code` says which.
- `422`: The tool ran and refused, in a sentence of its own (`TOOL_REFUSED`): the message says what to change. Retrying the same call will not help.
- `429`: The API key has spent its minute, or its day. Every request a key makes counts. See `Retry-After`.
