# What this deployment can seal

`GET /api/v1/firme/capabilities`

## Request

Read before preparing an envelope with files that are not PDF: `cades` false means a CAdES envelope cannot be sent here (`POST /envelopes` with `send: true`, and `POST /{id}/send`, answer 503 FIRME_SIGNING_UNAVAILABLE). PDF-only envelopes in PAdES are not affected.

## Response `200`

The capabilities.

- object
  - `ok` true, required
  - `data` FirmeCapabilities, required
    - `cades` boolean, required: True when a CAdES envelope (`.p7m`) can be sent and signed on this deployment. A non-PDF file can only be signed as CAdES; while this is false, sending one is refused with 503.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request did not validate: `error.details` names the fields.
- `401`: No API key, or one that is malformed, unknown, revoked or expired.
- `403`: The module is off for this organisation, the credential lacks the permission, or the tier does not cover it.
- `429`: The API key has spent its minute, or its day. See `Retry-After`.
