# View File Contents

`POST /api/editor/view`

Retrieves the contents of a file, optionally within a specified line range.

## Request body

- ViewParams
  - `path` string, required — File path to view
  - `view_range` integer[], nullable — Line range to view [start, end]

## Response `200`

Successfully retrieved file contents

- string

## Other responses

- `404` — File not found
- `422` — Validation Error
- `500` — Internal server error
