# List limit hits

`GET /v1/{account_id}/safety-events`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.curviate.com`
- URL: `https://api.curviate.com/v1/{account_id}/safety-events`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Each entry is an action Curviate refused (enforce) or warned about (warn) at a safety limit or pause, or a halt_cleared record of a pause lifted early. Read blocked and reason; filter by budget_row, since and until, and page until cursor is null.

## Path parameters

- `account_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `cursor` string
- `budget_row` 'connection_requests_with_note' | 'connection_requests_no_note' | 'messages_first_degree' | 'inmail' | 'open_profile_inmail' | 'profile_views' | 'search' | 'comments' | 'post_likes' | 'follows' | 'content_poll' | 'job_poll' | 'posts' | 'endorsements' | 'invite_responses' | 'withdrawal_sweep' | 'total_actions' | 'pending_invites'
- `since` string
- `until` string
- `limit` integer

## Response `200`

What Curviate refused or warned about on this account, newest first. Filter by `budget_row` to ask about one action type, and by `since` / `until` to ask about a period.

- object
  - `object` 'safety_event_list', required: Response type discriminator.
  - `items` object[], required: Flagged events, newest first. [] when this account has never breached a limit.
    - `object` 'safety_event', required: Item type discriminator.
    - `id` string, required: The event's id. Also the value encoded in the next page's cursor.
    - `budget_row` 'connection_requests_with_note' | 'connection_requests_no_note' | 'messages_first_degree' | 'inmail' | 'open_profile_inmail' | 'profile_views' | 'search' | 'comments' | 'post_likes' | 'follows' | 'content_poll' | 'job_poll' | 'posts' | 'endorsements' | 'invite_responses' | 'withdrawal_sweep' | 'total_actions' | 'pending_invites' | '*', required: The budget row that breached. It is not always a row the call itself spends: an invitation refused because the outstanding backlog is at its ceiling reports `pending_invites`, which is the thing that breached. `*` means the event was not about a row at all: the activity window closing on an action that spends no budget of its own, such as editing a message or a Recruiter admin action. The `budget_row` filter accepts real row names only, so page without it to see those.
    - `reason` 'budget_exhausted' | 'activity_window' | 'rate_limited' | 'halt_cleared', required: Which rule flagged it, and each one calls for a different response. `budget_exhausted`: the account reached the ceiling configured for that row, which you can raise on the safety policy. `activity_window`: the account was acting outside its configured activity window, so no ceiling was the constraint. Wait for the window to open, move `activity_window_start` or `activity_window_end`, or check `activity_window_timezone` is the zone you meant. `rate_limited`: the platform itself refused this account on that row recently and Curviate is holding the row until the pause expires. No ceiling you raise lifts it; the one thing that does is `clear_halts` on the safety policy, which lifts it deliberately and records that it was lifted. `halt_cleared` is the odd one out and the only entry that is not a refusal: somebody lifted one of those platform pauses early through `clear_halts` on the safety policy, so the row was open again from that instant. It carries `blocked: false` and its `method` is `update_safety_policy` rather than the operation that breached. Read it beside the `rate_limited` entry it lifts: the pause and its lifting are one thread, and an entry list that showed only the first would report a row as still paused.
    - `blocked` boolean, required: Whether the action was stopped. `false` is a warning: the action went through, and this record is the only lasting trace that it crossed a limit. Under the default `warn` posture every event is a warning, which is what makes reading this surface the point of running it. A `halt_cleared` entry is also `false`, for a different reason: it stopped nothing, it lifted a stop.
    - `method` string, required: The operation the caller was running when it breached.
    - `occurred_at` string, date-time, required: When it happened.
  - `cursor` string, nullable, required: Cursor for the next page; null on the terminal page. Pass it back verbatim. Page until cursor is null.
  - `safety_warning` SafetyWarning: Present on a successful response when this account crossed an account-safety ceiling while the affected budget row is on the default warn posture. The action still happened. Field-identical to the BUDGET_EXHAUSTED error body except that blocked is false and hint.message describes the outcome, so one branch handles both postures and switching the account to enforce is a configuration change rather than a client rewrite.
    - `row` string, nullable, required: The budget row that breached, for example profile_views or pending_invites. Null when the breach is not about a row: an activity_window warning on an action that spends no budget of its own (editing a message, dismissing a notification, a Recruiter or Sales Navigator admin action) is still governed by the hours the account works in. Read hint.parameter for what to change; whenever this is null it names posture, because the activity window edges are set per action type and this action has none, so the levers that reach it are the account timezone and posture.
    - `reset_at` string, nullable, required: The instant the refusal lifts: the window roll on a ceiling refusal, the next window open on an activity-window one. Null in the two cases no clock frees, the pending_invites gauge and InMail credits (row inmail).
    - `hint` object, required
      - `parameter` string, required: The settable parameter on PATCH /v1/{account_id}/safety-policy.
      - `message` string, required: What the condition is and what changing that parameter would do. This is the one field whose text differs from the BUDGET_EXHAUSTED refusal: here it says the action went through, and on a ceiling breach how far past the ceiling this row now stands, rather than telling you to set posture to warn when it already is. Branch on parameter, reason and blocked, never on this text.
    - `reason` 'ceiling' | 'activity_window', required: Which rule was crossed. ceiling means the row's configured limit is spent; activity_window means the account is outside the hours it works in, which is a different fact with a different remedy. hint.parameter names the right setting for each.
    - `blocked` boolean, required: Always false here. True on the BUDGET_EXHAUSTED refusal carrying the same payload.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request: an out-of-range `limit`, an unknown `budget_row`, a malformed `since` / `until`, or a corrupt `cursor`.
- `404`: No such account for this tenant. An id whose connection was replaced or removed also stops resolving here, and it is already absent from the list, so re-read `GET /v1/accounts` for the current id.
- `429`: Rate limited, slow down and retry after the hinted delay.
