# Get current market status

`GET /api-regulated/v1/market-status`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.currencyguard.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns current market status including open/closed state, next reopen/close times, and 10-day schedule.

Market status retrieved successfully

- MarketStatusDTO: Schema for representing current market status and upcoming trading schedule
  - `currentDateTime` string: The current date and time from the server clock in ISO8601 format
  - `marketStatus` 'OPEN' | 'CLOSED': The current market status (OPEN or CLOSED)
  - `marketStatusReason` string: Reason for the current market status
  - `reopenDateTime` string, nullable: The date and time when the market will next reopen in ISO8601 format (only present when market is currently closed)
  - `closeDateTime` string, nullable: The date and time when the market will next close in ISO8601 format
  - `canTrade` boolean: Master switch indicating whether trading is currently enabled globally
  - `canTradeOutsideOpeningHours` boolean: Whether trading is allowed outside configured operating hours
  - `calendarTimezone` string: IANA timezone ID used to interpret operating hours (e.g. 'Europe/London'). Clients should use this when displaying open/close times.
  - `upcomingSchedule` MarketStatusDailyScheduleDTO[]: The upcoming 7-day calendar schedule showing open/closed status, operating hours, and holiday information
    - `date` string: The date for this schedule entry in ISO8601 format
    - `dayOfWeek` string: Day of week name
    - `marketStatus` 'OPEN' | 'CLOSED': Market status for this day (OPEN or CLOSED)
    - `open` string, nullable: Opening time in HH:mm format (only present if marketStatus is OPEN)
    - `close` string, nullable: Closing time in HH:mm format (only present if marketStatus is OPEN)
    - `holiday` string, nullable: Holiday name if this is a holiday (only present if marketStatus is CLOSED and it's a holiday)
