# Delete Me

`DELETE /v1/me`

Schedule (or cancel) account deletion.

Default flow: marks ``users.deletion_scheduled_at = NOW() + 30d``,
revokes every session and api key the user owns, and cancels any
Stripe subscription at period end so paid entitlements survive
until the already-paid window closes. The retention sweep
(``api/cleanup.py``) hard-deletes accounts whose grace window
expires.

``cancel=true`` cancels a pending deletion before the sweep runs.

## Request body

- DeleteMeRequest: Body for ``DELETE /v1/me``. Requires the user's current password to re-authenticate, plus the literal confirmation string ``DELETE my account`` (typed in the Settings danger-zone modal) so a misclicked button can't trigger irreversible deletion. The ``cancel`` form (``DELETE /v1/me`` with ``cancel=true``) cancels a pending deletion within the grace window.
