# Revoke Api Key

`DELETE /v1/keys/{key_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ctindex.io`

  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Revoke a key the caller owns by setting ``is_active=false``.

We refuse to revoke the key the caller is currently authenticating with —
otherwise the very next portal request would 403. The portal must rotate
first (issues a new key, then this endpoint can disable the old one).
