# Get News Pulse

`GET /api/v1/news/pulse`

Per-coin news feature series — `news_pressure` and signed `news_tilt`.

The endpoint built for trading strategies: one row per Hyperliquid perp,
cross-sectionally ranked, joinable straight onto price.

- `news_pressure` (0..1) — recency-weighted sum of impact scores, saturating.
- `news_tilt` (-1..+1) — impact-weighted direction. Negative is risk-off.
- `event_count` / `top_impact` — how much of the pressure is one big story
  versus a steady drip.

- `headlines` — raw coverage: how many stories in the current feed window
  name this coin at high confidence, whether or not any of them qualified as
  a catalyst. This is attention, not an event. The catalyst funnel discards
  ~95% of what it reads, so most coins sit at `news_pressure: 0` while
  `headlines` keeps counting; a coin high on headlines with no pressure is
  being talked about without anything happening.

**Every active perp gets a row.** A coin with no news is `news_pressure: 0`,
not a missing row — a cross-sectional ranking needs the zeros, and a silently
absent symbol is indistinguishable from a pipeline failure. Rows are ranked
by pressure first, then by `headlines`. Free tier gets the top 10 rows; Pro
and above get the full universe.
