# Test Webhook

`POST /projects/{projectId}/webhooks/{webhookId}/tests`

**Required scopes:** `project.webhook` (Read and Write).

Sends a sample payload of one webhook event to the saved webhook URL, with the saved request method, content type and headers, and returns the answer of the target server. A failure of the target server is returned as data with `status` set to `failed`, not as an error. Test requests are not added to the webhook deliveries. The request body can be omitted.

__Note:__ The target system may act on the sample payload

- WebhookTestCreateForm
  - `event` string: Event to send a sample payload for. Must be one of the webhook `events`. Default is the first event of the webhook

## Response `200`

Test request result

- WebhookTestResource: Base schema of resource container. Container is a wrapper object that contains payload in required `data` property and provides space for adding any other metadata.
  - `data` WebhookTest, required
    - `event` string: Event the sample payload was sent for
    - `url` string: URL the request was sent to, as saved in the webhook
    - `payload` object: Sample payload that was sent, built from the webhook payload template with example values
    - `status` 'success' | 'failed': Test request status. One of: `success` for a 2xx or 304 answer of the target server, `failed` for any other answer or no answer
    - `responseStatusCode` integer, nullable: HTTP status code the target server answered with. `null` when no answer was received
    - `responseBody` string, nullable: Up to the first 1024 characters of the target server answer. `null` when no answer was received; `error` holds the reason
    - `error` 'couldNotConnect' | 'timeout' | 'forbiddenHost' | 'null', nullable: Why no answer was received. One of: `couldNotConnect`, `timeout`, `forbiddenHost` for a URL that cannot be called from Crowdin. `null` when the target server answered

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid Request Body
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Project or webhook with specified id was not found
