# Add Asset Reference

`POST /projects/{projectId}/files/{fileId}/references`

Upload a reference file for an asset

## Path parameters

- `projectId` integer, required
- `fileId` integer, required

## Request body

- ReferenceCreateForm
  - `storageId` integer, required: Storage Identifier. Get via [List Storages](#operation/api.storages.getMany)
  - `name` string, required: Reference file name

## Response `201`

Asset reference was successfully created

- ReferenceResource: Base schema of resource container. Container is a wrapper object that contains payload in required `data` property and provides space for adding any other metadata.

    - `id` integer
    - `name` string
    - `url` string
    - `user` object
      - `id` integer
      - `username` string
      - `fullName` string
      - `avatarUrl` string
    - `createdAt` string, date-time
    - `mimeType` string: MIME type of the reference file

- `400`: Invalid Request Parameters
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Project or file with specified id was not found
