# Add Group

`POST /groups`

## Request

**Required scopes:** `group` (Read and Write).

## Request body

- GroupCreateForm
  - `name` string, required: Group Name
  - `parentId` integer: Parent Group Identifier. Get via [List Groups](#operation/api.groups.getMany)
  - `description` string: Group description
  - `savingsReportSettingsTemplateId` integer: Report Settings Templates Identifier. Get via [List Report Settings Templates](#operation/api.reports.settings-templates.getMany)

## Response `201`

Group was successfully created

- GroupResource: Base schema of resource container. Container is a wrapper object that contains payload in required `data` property and provides space for adding any other metadata.

    - `name` string
    - `description` string
    - `parentId` integer
    - `organizationId` integer
    - `userId` integer
    - `subgroupsCount` integer, nullable
    - `projectsCount` integer, nullable
    - `webUrl` string
    - `savingsReportSettingsTemplateId` integer: Report Settings Templates Identifier. Available only for group managers and organization admins. Get via [List Report Settings Templates](#operation/api.reports.settings-templates.getMany)
    - `createdAt` string, date-time
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid Request Parameters
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Group with specified id was not found
- `405`: Method Not Allowed
