# Edit Application Consent Decision

**Required scopes:** `application.consent` (Read and Write).

Change an existing consent decision: switch its `status` between `granted` and `denied`, or update the `scopes` snapshot.

- ApplicationConsentOperation[]: A JSON Patch document as defined by <a href="https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6902#section-3" target="_blank">RFC 6902</a>
  - `op` 'replace', required: Patch operation to perform
  - `path` '/status' | '/scopes', required: A JSON Pointer identifying the field to replace. Supported paths: `/status`, `/scopes`.
  - `value` union, required: The value to set at `path`. A status string (`granted`/`denied`) for `/status`, or an array of scope identifiers for `/scopes`.

Application consent decision data

- ApplicationConsentResource: Base schema of resource container. Container is a wrapper object that contains payload in required `data` property and provides space for adding any other metadata.
  - `data` ApplicationConsent, required: The current user's decision on whether an application may act on their behalf
    - `id` integer
    - `installedBy` object, nullable: The user who installed the application the decision applies to
      - `id` integer
      - `username` string
      - `fullName` string
      - `avatarUrl` string
    - `identifier` string: Application identifier the decision applies to
    - `name` string, nullable: Name of the application the decision applies to. `null` when the application is no longer installed
    - `status` 'granted' | 'denied': Whether the application may act on behalf of the current user
    - `scopes` string[]: Scopes the decision was made for - a snapshot of the application scopes at decision time
    - `createdAt` string, date-time
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid Request Parameters
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Organization or consent decision with specified identifier was not found
