# Edit a post with 'draft' or 'archived' status. Company-page, mention, and link-preview metadata may be stored but must b

`PATCH /api/v1/content/drafts/{draft_id}`

## Request

## Path parameters

- `draft_id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `text` string: New post text (max 3000 chars)
  - `notes` string: Private notes about this draft
  - `target_audience` string: Who this post is intended for
  - `attachments` object[]: Replace attachments (pass empty array to clear)
    - `url` string, required
    - `filename` string
  - `as_organization` string: NOT PUBLISHABLE. Stored for editing, but publish_draft refuses the draft until this is removed.
  - `mentions` object[]: Replace @-mention metadata. Mentions are NOT publishable; publish_draft refuses until removed.
    - `name` string, required
    - `urn` string, required
  - `external_link` string: Replace link-preview metadata. Link previews are NOT publishable; publish_draft refuses until removed.
  - `status` 'draft' | 'archived': Move draft to 'archived' to hide from default list, or back to 'draft'
