# Web search

`POST /web/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.crevio.co/v1`
- URL: `https://api.crevio.co/v1/web/search`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Searches the web and returns ranked results. Optional `site` scopes the query to one domain; `scrape: true` returns each result's main content as markdown. Synchronous. Charges credits on success.

## Request body

- object
  - `query` string, required: Search query.
  - `count` integer: Number of results (1–20, default 5).
  - `site` string: Optional domain to scope the search to, e.g. "stripe.com".
  - `scrape` boolean: Scrape each result's page content into `markdown` (default false).

    - `markdown` string: Page content as markdown — only when `scrape: true`.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Authentication required
- `402`: Insufficient credits
- `422`: Validation error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded — 600 requests per minute per credential. Retry after the number of seconds in `Retry-After`.
- `500`: Internal server error
