# Search Zomato restaurants in a city

`GET /zomato/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1/zomato/search`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns restaurants in a Zomato city, optionally filtered by a keyword. With no query this reads Zomato's own city-wide delivery listing, which pages through an opaque cursor (~12 restaurants per page: pass a response's next_cursor back as cursor until has_more is false, which marks the end of the city's listing) and accepts Zomato's own sort and Pure Veg filters; with a query it uses Zomato's own keyword search across restaurant names, dishes, and cuisines, which returns a single unpaginated result set. Each restaurant carries its url (the value the restaurant and menu endpoints take), name, cuisines, cost for two, rating, distance from the city location, delivery time, whether Zomato currently delivers from it, whether the placement is promoted (sponsored), and — on the plain city-wide listing — Zomato's own headline offer badges.

## Query parameters

- `city` string, required
- `query` string
- `sort` 'popularity_desc' | 'rating_desc' | 'cost_asc' | 'cost_desc'
- `pure_veg` boolean
- `cursor` string

## Headers

- `x-api-key` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- ZomatoSearchResponseDoc
  - `code` integer: Code is the HTTP status code or a custom code used to indicate the result of the request @example 200
  - `data` ZomatoSearchResponse
    - `city` string
    - `has_more` boolean
    - `next_cursor` string
    - `query` string
    - `restaurants` ZomatoRestaurantCard[]
      - `address` string
      - `cost_for_two` string
      - `cuisines` string[]
      - `delivery_time` string: DeliveryTime is Zomato's own delivery ETA (e.g. "38 min"), present on results that carry its delivery-order metadata. Both search sources carry it but in different display shapes -- the city-wide listing serves a bare "38 min", keyword search a prefixed "Delivery in 38 min" -- so it is normalized to the bare form (see normalizeDeliveryTime). Absent for a restaurant Zomato is not currently delivering from.
      - `distance` string: Distance is Zomato's own display distance from the resolved city location to the restaurant (e.g. "1.2 km"). Present on both search paths.
      - `id` string
      - `image_url` string
      - `is_promoted` boolean: IsPromoted reports whether Zomato itself labels this a promoted (sponsored) placement rather than an organic result.
      - `is_serviceable` boolean: IsServiceable reports whether Zomato will currently deliver here from the resolved location. A pointer so a source that does not carry the flag omits it rather than reporting a false "not serviceable".
      - `locality` string
      - `name` string
      - `offers` string[]: Offers carries Zomato's own headline offer badges for this restaurant (e.g. "50% OFF", "₹100 OFF"). Only the city-wide listing carries them -- keyword search results do not.
      - `rating` number
      - `rating_count` string
      - `url` string
    - `total_results` integer
  - `msg` unknown

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `404`: Not Found
- `503`: Service Unavailable
