# Get recent news posts for a Steam app

`GET /steam/news`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1/steam/news`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Returns recent news and announcement posts for a Steam app by numeric `appid` (for example `570`). `count` sets the number of posts (default 10, max 50) and `maxlength` caps each post body in characters (default 300, `-1` for the full body). Each post has `gid`, title, URL, author, contents, feed label and name, `date`, `is_external_url` and `tags`.

      - `date` integer: Time the post was published, in Unix seconds.
      - `feedlabel` string: Label of the news feed the post came from, such as `Community Announcements`.
      - `feedname` string: Name of the news feed the post came from, such as `steam_community_announcements`.
      - `gid` string: Unique id of the news post.
      - `is_external_url` boolean: Whether Steam flags the post's `url` as an external link.
      - `tags` string[]: Tags Steam attaches to the post, such as `patchnotes`.
      - `title` string: Headline of the news post.
      - `url` string: URL of the news post.
    - `source_url` string: URL the data was read from.
