# Normalized income statement, balance sheet, or cash flow

`GET /sec/financials`

## Request

Returns a company's financial statements across recent periods, resolving EDGAR's inconsistent XBRL tags to a stable schema. Provide cik or ticker.

    - `cik` integer: Company's SEC Central Index Key (CIK) number.
    - `line_order` string[]: Statement line names in the order they appear on the statement.
    - `name` string: Company name as registered with the SEC.
    - `period` string: Period type returned: `annual` or `quarterly`.
    - `periods` SecFinancialPeriod[]: Reporting periods, newest first.
      - `currency` string: ISO 4217 code of the currency the monetary lines are reported in.
      - `end_date` string: Last day of the period, in YYYY-MM-DD format.
      - `fiscal_period` string: Fiscal period covered, such as `FY` for a full year.
      - `fiscal_year` integer: Fiscal year the period belongs to.
      - `form` string: SEC form type that reported the figures, such as `10-K`.
      - `lines` object: Statement line values for the period, keyed by line name such as `revenue`.
      - `ratios` object: Ratios are computed, normalized metrics derived from the lines (margins, current ratio, debt-to-equity, free cash flow, YoY revenue growth) — a value-add over the raw statement figures.
    - `source_url` string: URL the data was read from.
    - `statement` string: Statement returned: `income`, `balance` or `cash_flow`.
    - `ticker` string: Stock ticker symbol of the company.
