# Extract 10-K/10-Q/8-K item sections

`GET /sec/filing/sections`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1/sec/filing/sections`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Extracts item sections (e.g. 1A Risk Factors, 7 MD&A) from a 10-K/10-Q/8-K primary document as clean text. Provide accession plus cik or ticker.

  - `data` SecFilingSectionsResponse
    - `accession_number` string: SEC accession number that uniquely identifies the filing.
    - `cik` integer: Company's SEC Central Index Key (CIK) number.
    - `count` integer: Number of sections returned.
    - `document_url` string: Link to the filing document the sections were taken from.
    - `form` string: SEC form type of the filing, such as `10-K`.
    - `sections` SecFilingSection[]: Item sections extracted from the filing, in item order.
      - `char_count` integer: Length of the full section text before any truncation.
      - `item` string: Item number of the section in the filing, such as `1A` or `7`.
      - `text` string: Plain text of the section, cut off at the `max_chars` limit.
      - `title` string: Section heading, such as `Risk Factors`.
      - `truncated` boolean: Whether `text` was cut short because the section exceeded `max_chars`.
    - `source_url` string: URL the data was read from.
  - `msg` string
