# PitchBook company profile

`GET /pitchbook/company`

## Request

Returns the free/teaser content of a PitchBook company profile page (overview, description, contact/HQ, industry, funding-round history without dollar amounts, a preview of investors, acquisitions, and subsidiaries). PitchBook gates most numeric figures (deal amounts, cap tables, full investor/LP lists) behind a paid subscription; those come through as empty cells rather than being fabricated. Pass exactly one of `id` or `url`.

    - `name` string: Name of the company, investor, fund, advisor or limited partner.
    - `overview` object: Quick facts from the profile as label and value pairs, such as `Year Founded`.
    - `source_url` string: URL the data was read from.
    - `tables` PitchbookDataTable[]: Tables from the profile's sections, such as Investors.
      - `columns` string[]: Column headings of the table.
      - `name` string: Name of the profile section the table comes from, such as `Investors`.
      - `row_ids` array[]: Profile each cell links to as `kind/id`, such as `company/157986-91`, matching `rows` by position. Empty for cells without a link.

      - `rows` array[]: Table rows, each a list of cell texts. Cells PitchBook hides behind a subscription are empty.

      - `total` integer: Full count of entries PitchBook states for the section, usually more than the rows returned.
