# Get a Discogs artist profile

`GET /discogs/artist/{id}`

## Request

Returns a Discogs artist profile: real name, bio, links, name variations, aliases, and group memberships.

      - `active` boolean: True when Discogs marks the related artist as currently active. Omitted when inactive or when Discogs gives no status.
      - `id` integer: Discogs artist id. Use it with the artist endpoint.
      - `name` string: Name of the artist as Discogs lists it.
    - `data_quality` string: Discogs data quality rating of the profile, for example `Needs Vote`.
    - `groups` DiscogsEntityRef[]: Groups or bands the artist belongs to or has belonged to.
      - `active` boolean: True when Discogs marks the related artist as currently active. Omitted when inactive or when Discogs gives no status.
      - `id` integer: Discogs artist id. Use it with the artist endpoint.
      - `name` string: Name of the artist as Discogs lists it.

    - `images` DiscogsImage[]: Photos of the artist.
      - `height` integer: Height of the image in pixels.
      - `type` string: Kind of image, for example `primary`.
      - `uri` string: URL of the full-size image.
      - `uri150` string: URL of a 150 pixel version of the image.
      - `width` integer: Width of the image in pixels.
    - `members` DiscogsEntityRef[]: Members of the artist, when the artist is a group or band.
      - `active` boolean: True when Discogs marks the related artist as currently active. Omitted when inactive or when Discogs gives no status.
      - `id` integer: Discogs artist id. Use it with the artist endpoint.
      - `name` string: Name of the artist as Discogs lists it.
    - `name` string: Artist name as Discogs lists it.
    - `name_variations` string[]: Other spellings and variations of the artist name.
    - `profile` string: Biography text from the artist's Discogs profile.
    - `real_name` string: Real name of the artist, when Discogs lists one.
    - `source_url` string: URL the data was read from.
    - `uri` string: Link to the artist's page on Discogs.
    - `urls` string[]: External web links listed on the artist's profile.
