# Get a company from the SEC companies dataset

`GET /datasets/sec-companies/items/{cik}`

## Request

Returns one SEC-reporting company by CIK from dataset id `sec-companies`, including its filing-history summary, financial-statement rollups, and trailing-90-day insider-activity summary. Returns 404 when the CIK is not in the dataset.

    - `entity_type` string: Entity type EDGAR reports for the filer, such as `operating`.
    - `exchange` string[]: Stock exchanges the company is listed on, as EDGAR reports them, such as `Nasdaq` or `NYSE`.
    - `filing_count` integer: Number of filings the company has on EDGAR.
    - `financials_synced_at` string: Time the financial figures were last updated, in UTC (RFC 3339).
    - `fiscal_year_end` string: Last day of the company's fiscal year as month and day (MMDD), for example `0928`.
    - `former_names` string[]: Names the company filed under previously.
    - `forms_filed` string[]: Distinct SEC form types the company has filed.
    - `insider_last_transaction_at` string: Date of the most recent insider transaction in the last 90 days.
    - `insider_net_shares_90d` number: Shares insiders acquired minus shares they disposed of over the last 90 days. Negative when more were sold.
    - `insider_txn_count_90d` integer: Number of insider transactions reported over the last 90 days.
    - `latest_annual_fiscal_year` integer: Fiscal year of the latest annual financial figures.
    - `latest_annual_net_income` number: Net income for the latest fiscal year, in the filer's reporting currency.
    - `latest_annual_net_income_usd` number: Net income for the latest fiscal year, converted to US dollars at a fixed reference rate.
    - `latest_annual_revenue` number: Revenue for the latest fiscal year, in the filer's reporting currency.
    - `latest_annual_revenue_usd` number: Revenue for the latest fiscal year, converted to US dollars at a fixed reference rate.
    - `latest_annual_total_assets` number: Total assets at the end of the latest fiscal year, in the filer's reporting currency.
    - `latest_annual_total_assets_usd` number: Total assets at the end of the latest fiscal year, converted to US dollars at a fixed reference rate.
    - `latest_filing_date` string: Date of the company's most recent filing, in YYYY-MM-DD format.
    - `latest_quarterly_fiscal_year` integer: Fiscal year of the latest quarterly financial figures.
    - `latest_quarterly_revenue` number: Revenue for the latest reported quarter, in the filer's reporting currency.
    - `name` string: Company name as registered with the SEC.
    - `primary_ticker` string: Main stock ticker symbol of the company.
    - `recent_filings` EsSecFilingSummary[]: Most recent filings of the company, newest first.
      - `accession_number` string: SEC accession number that uniquely identifies the filing.
      - `filing_date` string: Date the filing was submitted to the SEC, in YYYY-MM-DD format.
      - `form` string: SEC form type of the filing, such as `10-K`, `10-Q` or `8-K`.
      - `primary_doc_url` string: URL of the filing's main document on SEC.gov.
    - `reporting_currency` string: Native-currency figures are exactly as the filer reported them (see ReportingCurrency); the *USD fields are the same values converted at fixed reference rates so they can be sorted, banded and range-filtered ACROSS currencies. Screen on the USD fields; display the native value + currency.
    - `revenue_band` string: Size band of the latest annual revenue in US dollars: `under_1m`, `1m_10m`, `10m_100m`, `100m_1b`, `1b_10b`, `over_10b` or `unknown`.
    - `schema_version` integer: Version of the record format.
    - `seed_source` string: Label of the SEC company list this record was first built from.
    - `sic` string: Standard Industrial Classification code of the company.
    - `sic_description` string: Plain-text description of the company's SIC code.
    - `state_of_incorporation` string: Code of the state or country where the company is incorporated.
    - `submissions_synced_at` string: Time the filing history was last updated, in UTC (RFC 3339).
    - `tickers` string[]: All stock ticker symbols of the company.
