# CoinGecko categories

`GET /coingecko/categories`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.crawlora.net/api/v1/coingecko/categories`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Lists CoinGecko coin categories, up to `limit` rows (default and max 100), priced in the `vs_currency` you choose. Each row has its rank, id, slug, name, URL, 1h, 24h and 7d percentage changes, market cap, 24h volume and coin count, where CoinGecko shows them.

      - `coin_count` integer: Number of coins in the category.
      - `id` string: CoinGecko category id.
      - `market_cap` number: Combined market capitalisation of the category.
      - `name` string: Name of the category.
      - `rank` integer: Position of the category in the categories table.
      - `slug` string: URL slug of the category. Use it with the category coins endpoint.
      - `url` string: Link to the category page on CoinGecko.
      - `volume_24h` number: Combined trading volume of the category over the last 24 hours.
    - `fetched_at` string: Time the data was fetched, in UTC (RFC 3339).
    - `limit` integer: Maximum number of categories returned.
    - `source_url` string: URL the data was read from.
    - `vs_currency` string: Currency code from the request's vs_currency parameter.
