# Keep

`POST /v1/jobs/{job_id}/keep`

Retain this job's images past the ordinary expiry, because the owner asked.

Opt-in and after the fact: the decision a person makes is "keep *this* result", and they
can only make it once they have seen it. A kept copy is not deleted on the ordinary
schedule; it stays until the owner removes it.

Idempotent. Asking twice returns the copies already made rather than making a second
pair, so a double-clicked button costs nothing.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- KeepResponse: The retained copies, with fresh links to them.
  - `kept` boolean, required: Whether this job's files are now retained past the ordinary schedule.
  - `output_url` string, required: A fresh temporary link to the retained result.
  - `input_url` string, required: A fresh temporary link to the retained picture the model worked from.

## Other responses

- `400`: the path, query or a JSON string in the body contains a NUL character or an unpaired surrogate; the body is not JSON encoded as UTF-8, or carries a number JSON cannot represent (NaN, Infinity, or one too large) or nesting too deep to read; or an Idempotency-Key header is longer than 255 characters or not printable ASCII. The request was not read
- `401`: missing, malformed or unrecognised API key
- `404`: no finished job of yours with that id, or a job with no image to keep
- `413`: the request body is larger than 1 MiB. The request was not read
- `422`: Validation Error
- `503`: storage was briefly unavailable; nothing was kept, and the request may be retried
