# Build information for the running server

`GET /version`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://craaft.io/api/v1`
- URL: `https://craaft.io/api/v1/version`
- Auth: none required

Unauthenticated so monitoring can poll it without managing
credentials, and cheap enough to use as a liveness probe: it touches
neither the database nor the session store. Use it to confirm which
artifact is live without shelling into a container.

## Response `200`

OK

- VersionInfo: Build-info triplet stamped in at link time via `-X` ldflags. A plain `go run` leaves the defaults in place, so `dev` / `unknown` means an unstamped build rather than a broken one.
  - `version` string, required: Release tag, or `dev` when unstamped
  - `commit` string, required: Short commit SHA, or `unknown` when unstamped
  - `buildTime` string, required: RFC3339 build timestamp, or `unknown` when unstamped
