# Check an address

`POST /check`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cowrie.io`
- URL: `https://api.cowrie.io/check`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Determine whether screening has completed for the provided address. Send `<client_id>:<client_secret>` in the `Authorization` header. The address `0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000001` is reserved for testing and always returns `completed: true`.

## Request body

- object
  - `address` string, required: EVM-compatible address to check.

## Response `200`

Screening status for the address.

- object
  - `completed` boolean: Whether screening is complete.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid address payload.
- `401`: Missing or invalid client credentials (either header).
