# Look up a case or citation

`POST /api/court-date-lookup`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.courtdelta.com`

- Auth: none required

Resolves a NC case number or citation and returns upcoming hearings, charges, and case status. Side effect: emails the results to the provided address and may create a lead record.

  - `name` string: Looker's full name (used for party matching).
  - `phone` string

    - `actual_speed` string, nullable: Charged speed, mph (speeding offenses).

  - `dispositions` Disposition[]: How each charge ended. Empty on an open case. Needed to assess automatic expunction under G.S. 15A-146(a4), which turns on outcomes rather than charges.

    - `disposition` string, nullable: Verbatim AOC disposition text, e.g. "VD- District Dismissals w/o Leave by DA - No Plea Agreement".
    - `disposition_date` string, nullable: MM/DD/YYYY.
