# Send a text from the line's number.

`POST /messages`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://cosvoice.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://cosvoice.com/api/v1/messages`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

US carriers only deliver business texts from registered numbers; CosVoice's registration is in progress, so a text may be filtered. Use a call or email when it must arrive.

## Request body

- object
  - `to` string, required: E.164.
  - `body` string, required: The message.

## Response `200`

Handed to the carrier.

## Other responses

- `400`: Something in the request is missing or malformed; the message says which field.
- `401`: The key is missing, wrong, or revoked. Ask the owner for a new one; do not retry.
- `404`: No such call, email, or contact on this line.
- `429`: Over 240 requests a minute. Wait a little and try again.
