# Teach the line a number and how to treat it.

## Request

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required: Their name.
  - `phone` string, required: E.164.
  - `role` 'approved' | 'vip' | 'blocked'
  - `notes` string: Anything the line should know.

## Response `200`

Saved.

## Other responses

- `400`: Something in the request is missing or malformed; the message says which field.
- `401`: The key is missing, wrong, or revoked. Ask the owner for a new one; do not retry.
- `404`: No such call, email, or contact on this line.
- `429`: Over 240 requests a minute. Wait a little and try again.
