# Register an account.

`POST /v1/auth/register`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.cortexplus.io`
- URL: `https://api.cortexplus.io/v1/auth/register`
- Auth: none required

Create a CortexPlus account. A 6-digit code is emailed and the account stays pending (202) until it is confirmed with /v1/auth/verify. When verification is disabled the response is a device session (201).

  - `password` string, required
  - `deviceName` string
  - `platform` string

## Response `201`

Successful response.

- object
  - `deviceToken` string, required: Device credential (cxd_…); use it as the bearer token.
  - `user` object, required

## Other responses

- `202`: Successful response.
- `default`: Request failed.
