# Retrieve user label

`GET /api/v1/eng-intel/labels/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.getcortexapp.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Get user label.

API key must have the `View Eng Intelligence` permission.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Successfully retrieved user label

- UserLabel
  - `description` string: Optional description of the user label
  - `id` string, required: Unique, immutable, 18-character auto-generated identifier for the user label.
  - `name` string, required: Unique name for the user label
  - `values` string[], required: Possible values for the user label

## Other responses

- `404`: User label not found
- `429`: The client has exceeded the rate limit by performing too many requests in a short period. Retry the request after a delay.
