# Delete API key

`DELETE /api/v1/auth/key/{cid}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.getcortexapp.com`
- URL: `https://api.getcortexapp.com/api/v1/auth/key/{cid}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delete API key

The API key used to make the request must have the `Edit API keys` permission

## Path parameters

- `cid` string, required: The unique, auto-generated identifier for the API key

## Response `200`

Successfully deleted API key

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `403`: Access denied
- `404`: API key not found
- `429`: The client has exceeded the rate limit by performing too many requests in a short period. Retry the request after a delay.
