# Create a room folder

`POST /rooms/{id}/folders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://dataroom.corgi.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://dataroom.corgi.com/api/v1/rooms/{id}/folders`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a `FOLDER` (navigable container) or `SECTION` (labelled divider) in the room. `parentId` must be a live FOLDER in the room. Duplicate names are allowed on create. Rejected with 409 when the room is frozen. Scope: `datarooms:write`.

- `400`: Invalid parent
- `404`: Room not found
