# Archive (soft-delete) a room

`DELETE /rooms/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://dataroom.corgi.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://dataroom.corgi.com/api/v1/rooms/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Soft-deletes the room (sets deletedAt + status CLOSED) — it moves to the Trash for 30 days and can be brought back with POST /rooms/{id}/restore. Scope: `datarooms:write`.
