# Get Balance

`GET /v1/account/balance`

## Request

Three numbers, because one was not enough to explain a refusal.

balance_cents is the money in the account. held_cents is reserved against
generations still in flight -- still the customer's, not yet spent. The
balance gate spends available_cents, so a request can be refused while
balance_cents still looks healthy; before this endpoint reported the split,
that refusal was unexplainable from the outside (audit 2026-07-29).
