# On-demand (re)synthesis of a subject's profile (T412)

`POST /api/subjects/{subjectId}/profile/refresh`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:38200`
- URL: `http://localhost:38200/api/subjects/{subjectId}/profile/refresh`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `token`

Bypasses the scheduler's staleness gate (always forces synthesis). Costs an LLM call, same bar as POST /api/memory.

## Path parameters

- `subjectId` string, required

## Response `200`

The newly-synthesized profile.

## Other responses

- `400`: subjectId is required.
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials.
- `404`: No eligible memory found for this subject — nothing to synthesize.
