# Create section

`POST /partner_api/v1/sections`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.contentsnare.com`
- URL: `https://api.contentsnare.com/partner_api/v1/sections`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `/oauth/authorization`
    - Token URL: `/oauth/token` scopes: `write_requests`
  - HTTP bearer

Creates a new section in page<br>Required scopes: <b>write_requests</b>

## Request body

- NewSection
  - `compressed` boolean: A boolean value indicating whether the section is displayed as a single compressed block with one submit button
  - `name` string: Section name. If it isn't set then the source template name is used.
  - `page_id` string, required: Id of a page where a new section should be added
  - `source_template_id` string: Source section template id (`source_template_id` or `source_template_name` should be set)
  - `source_template_name` string: Source section template name (`source_template_id` or `source_template_name` should be set)
