# List the available text tools

`GET /v1/text/tools`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://contentmaschine.ai/api`
- URL: `https://contentmaschine.ai/api/v1/text/tools`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://contentmaschine.ai/api/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://contentmaschine.ai/api/oauth/token`)

The tool registry, flat and grouped by category. This is the discovery route for POST /v1/text/generate: every `tool_key` it accepts appears here.

## Response `200`

The registry.

- object
  - `success` boolean
  - `data` object
    - `tools` object[]: Each entry carries at least tool_key, tool_name and category.
    - `by_category` object: The same tools, keyed by category.
    - `categories` string[]
  - `timestamp` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The token does not hold text:read.
- `default`: Any other error. Every failure this API emits uses the same envelope; branch on `error.type`, never on `error.message`, and quote `error.correlation_id` to support.
