# Get your credit balance and recent credit activity

`GET /v1/account/credits`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://contentmaschine.ai/api`
- URL: `https://contentmaschine.ai/api/v1/account/credits`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://contentmaschine.ai/api/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://contentmaschine.ai/api/oauth/token`)

Built for the MCP `show_credits` tool. This call is free and read only: it never charges,
reserves or initializes credits. It carries no links, so unlike the gallery and video
routes nothing in it expires after 15 minutes.

- `balance` holds available, reserved, lifetime purchased and lifetime used credits. An
account with no credit record yet reads as all zeros.
- `transactions` lists the newest `limit` ledger entries. Usage amounts are negative.
  Each entry carries only uuid, type, amount, balance_after, description and created_at;
adjustment and referral entries carry a fixed label instead of their stored text.

Credits belong to no content container, so any one read scope (`images:read`,
`videos:read`, `audio:read`, `text:read` or `files:read`) admits this route.

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer

## Response `200`

The balance and the newest ledger entries.

- object
  - `success` boolean
  - `data` object
    - `balance` object
      - `available` number
      - `reserved` number
      - `lifetime_purchased` number
      - `lifetime_used` number
    - `transactions` object[]
      - `uuid` string
      - `type` string
      - `amount` number
      - `balance_after` number
      - `description` string, nullable
      - `created_at` string
    - `limit` integer
  - `timestamp` string, date-time

## Other responses

- `400`: `limit` is not an integer from 1 to 25.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The token holds none of images:read, videos:read, audio:read, text:read, files:read.
- `default`: Any other error. Every failure this API emits uses the same envelope; branch on `error.type`, never on `error.message`, and quote `error.correlation_id` to support.
