# Delete run

`DELETE /v1/projects/{project_id}/runs/{run_id}`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Deletes the run's input, output, error, run context and execution trace, and the reasoning of judge evaluations of it. Status, timing, token usage, cost and judge scores remain, and `data_deleted_at` is set. Returns 409 until the run and its background processing have finished; an already-deleted run returns `deleted_count: 0`. This cannot be undone.

Required permission: `runs.delete`.

Successful Response

- PublicRunDataDeleteResponse
  - `ok` boolean, required: Whether the operation succeeded.
  - `deleted_count` integer, required: Number of runs deleted. Runs that were already deleted are not counted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The API key lacks the required permission or access to the environment.
- `404`: The resource does not exist in this project.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
