# Get retrieval entry details

`GET /v1/projects/{project_id}/retrieval/entries/{entry_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.connic.co`
- URL: `https://api.connic.co/v1/projects/{project_id}/retrieval/entries/{entry_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns all chunks of one retrieval entry, ordered by chunk index. Entry IDs are unique per namespace, so pass `namespace` for an entry stored in one. An unknown entry returns an empty `chunks` list.

Required permission: `retrieval.manage`.

- `project_id` string, uuid, required
- `entry_id` string, required

## Query parameters

- `environment_id` string, uuid, required: Environment ID from `GET /environments`.
- `namespace` string, nullable: Namespace the entry is stored in. Omit for an entry in the default namespace.

Successful Response

- PublicRetrievalEntryDetailsResponse
  - `chunks` PublicRetrievalChunkResponse[], required: Chunks of the entry, ordered by `chunk_index`.
    - `entry_id` string, required: Entry the chunk belongs to.
    - `content` string, required: Chunk text.
    - `content_type` string, nullable, required: Source type, such as `text` or `pdf`.
    - `namespace` string, nullable, required: Namespace path. Null for the default namespace.
    - `page_number` integer, nullable, required: PDF page the chunk was taken from. Null for other content types.
    - `chunk_index` integer, required: Position of the chunk within the entry, starting at 0.
    - `token_count` integer, nullable, required: Tokens in the chunk. Null when not counted.
    - `metadata` object, required: Metadata stored with the chunk: the `metadata` passed at upload, plus `original_filename` and `file_size` for files.
    - `created_at` string, date-time, nullable, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The API key lacks the required permission or access to the environment.
- `404`: The resource does not exist in this project.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
