# Trigger judge evaluation

`POST /v1/projects/{project_id}/judges/{judge_id}/trigger`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.connic.co`
- URL: `https://api.connic.co/v1/projects/{project_id}/judges/{judge_id}/trigger`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Starts a new evaluation for `agent_run_id`. The run must belong to the judge's environment and its agent name must match the judge's configured agent. Returns `judge_run_id`. Responds with `409 Conflict` while another evaluation for this judge and run is queued or running, or when the run has been deleted.

Required permission: `judges.trigger`.

- `judge_id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- ManualTriggerRequest: Agent run to evaluate.
  - `agent_run_id` string, uuid, required: ID of the agent run to evaluate; must be a run of the judge's agent in the judge's environment.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- PublicJudgeTriggerResponse
  - `ok` boolean, required: Whether the operation succeeded.
  - `judge_run_id` string, uuid, required: ID of the queued judge run.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The API key lacks the required permission or access to the environment.
- `404`: The resource does not exist in this project.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
