# Trigger judge evaluations in bulk

`POST /v1/projects/{project_id}/judges/{judge_id}/trigger-bulk`

## Request

Queues an evaluation for every completed run of the judge's agent queued between `start_date` and `end_date`. Deleted runs and runs that already have a queued or running evaluation for this judge are skipped. With `dry_run`, nothing is queued and only the matching run `count` is returned. Rejects timeframes matching more than 1000 runs.

Required permission: `judges.trigger`.

## Request body

- BulkTriggerRequest: Time window of runs to evaluate.
  - `start_date` string, date-time, required: Start of the window, matched against when runs were queued; no offset means UTC.
  - `end_date` string, date-time, required: End of the window, inclusive; must be after `start_date`.
  - `dry_run` boolean: Only count the matching runs; nothing is queued.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- union: Queued evaluations, or the matching run count when `dry_run` is true.
  - PublicJudgeBulkQueuedResponse
    - `ok` boolean, required: Whether the operation succeeded.
    - `dry_run` false, required: False: evaluations were queued.
    - `queued` integer, required: Number of evaluations queued.
  - PublicJudgeBulkDryRunResponse
    - `ok` boolean, required: Whether the operation succeeded.
    - `dry_run` true, required: True: nothing was queued.
    - `count` integer, required: Completed runs in the timeframe that would be evaluated.
    - `limit` integer, required: Maximum number of runs one bulk request can queue.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `403`: The API key lacks the required permission or access to the environment.
- `404`: The resource does not exist in this project.
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded.
